A suspect is facing new charges in connection to the death of an Upstate woman. SLED says 21 year old, Kendall Mims is now charged with destruction of human remains.
The charge stems from the murder of Jessica Barnes from Pendelton, last year. Brandon Barnes the victim's husband has been charged with her murder. Two other suspects, Mims and Victoria Tippett were arrested last October for accessory after the fact and other charges.
SLED says the three moved the body of Jessica Barnes multiple times before burning her remains. All three have been indicted on their charges from October.
