A suspect is in custody after a police chase in Greenville County Thursday night that ended with a collision. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office says deputies tried to stop a driver around 9:15 PM near Conestee Lake Road and Mauldin Road.
The driver refused and led deputies on a chase and the suspect crashed into a Greenville Police Department Patrol Car that was assisting in the chase. The suspect who has not yet been identified was then forcefully stopped and was taken into custody.
He was transported to a local hospital, the Greenville City Officer is said to be okay after the collision. The Sheriff's Office says charges and suspect information are set to be released later on.
