The suspect in a Midlands crime spree over the weekend, is now in custody on multiple charges. The string of crimes started around 2 PM Sunday, in the Richland County town of Forest Acres.
Police there say, 30 year old Jeremy Allen Boone stabbed a man, threatened the same victim with a gun, and stole a car all in a matter of hours. Investigators claim it all started when Boone stole something from the Publix on Forest Drive.
He then fled the scene in a vehicle and crashed his vehicle. Boone then reportedly fled the crash scene on foot and went to a nearby residential neighborhood. While there Boone and another man scuffled over a gun, and as the victim was retreating Boone allegedly stabbed him in the back, pointed a gun at him, stole his car and fled the scene.
Boone was later located and taken into custody without incident. The victim suffered only minor injuries in the incident.
Boone faces charges of attempted murder, pointing and presenting a gun, grand larceny and shoplifting. Police additional charges are expected to be filed.
