An arrest has been made after an Upstate woman was found strangled to death in her home. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says, 61 year old Victor Dunaway of Walhalla has been arrested and charged with the murder of 67 year old, Nancy Popham.
Popham was found dead at her home in Seneca around 4 PM, Monday afternoon. Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis says, he believes she died either late Sunday night or in the early morning hours Monday. An autopsy performed Wednesday revealed Popham died from manual strangulation. Dunaway is currently in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center.
