A suspect has been arrested in Texas and has been extradited back to the Upstate. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says Bartley White was involved in what is called "bank jugging". It's the act of suspects watching banks or ATMs and then following those who have withdrawn cash to either rob them directly or break into their vehicle later.
The investigation started after a theft on Fairway Lane. The victim reported that over 20,000 dollars was stolen from their vehicle shortly after withdrawing the cash from the bank. Flock Cameras were used to identify White and another suspect who were at the bank and followed the victim out.
White was arrested near Houston Texas and has been extradited back to Oconee County. He's charged with grand larceny, breaking into a vehicle and criminal conspiracy.
