It was a wild weekend scene in Union, as police say a woman fought off attackers with a hatchet. Police responded to a reported fight to the parking lot of the Tan Hut and Salon in Union, Friday. Upon arrival, officers found a 16 year old girl suffering from a cut wound to her arm.
Witnesses told police that a woman was sitting in her car when the teen opened the door and her and another female began assaulting the victim. The woman then pulled a hatchet to defend herself from the attack and the teenager was cut during the incident.
The teen was taken to a hospital to be treated for her injuries. Police have not announced formal charges at this time. The incident remain under investigation and no details on the motive for the attack, as of the time of this report.
