A teenager is in custody after being charged with burglarizing an Upstate business. The Laurens Police Department responded to a reported burglary at a business there on East Main Street. Upon arrival, officers found that the glass had been broken out of the front door of the business.
When the suspect came out of the store , he ran from officers. They were able to take the teen into custody. Police say, they recovered 5 grand worth of merchandise and the tool the suspect used to break the glass and gain entry.
The teen suspect is charged with 2nd degree and is currently being held at Department of Juvenile Justice. The suspect's identity has not been released due to them being a minor.
