Teenager in custody after woman fatally shot in the Midlands

A teenage suspect is in custody after a woman was fatally shot in the Midlands, earlier this week. The Columbia Police Department responded to a shooting on Howell Court on Monday. Upon arrival, officers found a woman dead from a gunshot wound. The victim has been identified as 31 year old, Ciarra Howcott. Police say the suspect 19 year old Lee'Sean Davis has since been arrested. He's charged with murder and a weapons violation. At this time, no details have been released on what led to the shooting.
