Jerome Rice won a highly contested race to become the newly elected Mayor of Spartanburg. Former Mayor Junie White declined to seek re-election and that opened the door for someone new. Rice is the former Football Coach at Spartanburg High, he works in Public Education. Rice visited with me to talk about his reaction to being elected, using his experience on City council in his new role, and his priorities as the new mayor. The full interview is below.
