Three dead after wrong way weekend crash in the Upstate

A wrong-way collision on Interstate 85 in Greenville County Sunday, killed 3 people. It happened on the Southbound side of 85 near the exit for Woodruff Road.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that 2 women and 1 man were killed in the collision that involved a total of 4 vehicles. One of the vehicles involved was traveling north in a southbound lane of 85. Other victims involved in the crash suffered non-critical injuries and were transported to the hospital.


 On Sunday evening the Coroner identified the victims as 69 year old Jimmie Wallace of Alabama, 27 year old Storm Mikayla Shephard from Duncan and 45 year old Sharae Green of Georgia.

Officials say two dogs traveling with Green are missing. The Coroners Office is asking anyone who sees them, each gray in color with a white chest, to contact their office.
