Witnesses say a man who fled the scene in a car with a Georgia license plate opened fire at a bar in Gaffney early Sunday. A woman who was hit twice is recovering from emergency surgery for bullet wounds to the stomach and leg.
A man who showed up at hospital had a bullet in his arm, and a third victim was being treated for severe cuts from crawling through broken glass to get away.
Cherokee County deputies say the gunfire broke out around 2:30 a.m. at Tumeby's Tap Room on Old Georgia Highway. They urge anyone who knows anything about it to call the sheriff's office or Crimestoppers.
