Another three arrests have been made in the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office’s second drug roundup of the year.

Two weeks into the drug sweep operation in Oconee County, 16 total arrests have been made out of the original 26 arrest warrants.

The roundup comes following undercover operations via controlled purchases of narcotics that resulted in those 26 warrants.

This most recent round of arrests included 47-year-old Webster Maurice Thompson of Seneca on three counts of Distribution of Cocaine, 40-year-old Angela Compton Ibarra of Seneca on one count each of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime, and 44-year-old Benedict A Ramsey of Seneca on two counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and one count each of Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime and Distribution of Methamphetamine.

Ramsey was also arrested on additional warrants on one count each of Forgery and Financial Transaction Card Fraud in connection to two fraud investigations unrelated to the drug roundup.

In total, 10 arrest warrants remain active in the ongoing operation.
