Two charged in Upstate cold case murder

After eight years, two suspects have now been arrested in an Anderson County multiple homicide case. A married couple has been arrested for the brutal killings of four people in Pendleton.

Friday afternoon, Anderson County Sheriff Chad McBride held a press conference to announce the arrest of Amy and Ross Vilardi. Both charged with four counts of murder for the quadruple homicide.

Cathy Scott, Mike Scott, Barbara Scott and Violet Taylor were all killed Halloween night of 2015 along Refuge Road in Pendleton. Amy Vilardi is Cathy Scott's daughter.

Both suspects were taken into custody at their current home in Columbia and have been booked into the Anderson County Detention Center. The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office will prosecute the case.
