A number of immigrants are facing charges after a human trafficking investigation at a restaurant in Oconee County. As we previously reported, Homeland Security conducted a raid Wednesday at Puerto Nuevo Mexican Restaurant in West Union.
Homeland Security now says that two juveniles who were victims of human trafficking, were rescued in the operation. 8 people were arrested on immigration charges.
Two others were arrested in the aftermath. Both were charged with disorderly conduct. One of those two, Juan Garcia Leon is a manager at Puerto Nuevo. He was charged with bringing a gun to the crime scene.
