Two inmates are back in custody after escaping from an Upstate jail. Devin Jake Fisher and Nicklaus Chase Bevis were arrested in Georgia following a traffic stop.
The two were then found to be escaped inmates from the Union County Detention Center, an escape their jailers were reportedly unaware of. Fisher and Bevis were said to have escaped by maneuvering their holding cell bars.
Georgia State Patrol then reached out to the Union County Sheriff’s Office about extraditing the inmates back to the Upstate.
