Two people were rescued by firefighters after a tree fell on top of their vehicle. Crews were dispatched around 2:40 Friday afternoon, to the 400 block of Ninety Six Highway in Greenwood.
Upon arrival, the Greenwood Fire Department found two people trapped in the car, after a tree fell on it. Firefighters were able to extricate the two people, a wrecker was called in to move the tree off of the vehicle.
Both people were transported to an area hospital for treatment. There's been no word on the severity of their injuries.
