Upstate highways continue to be treacherous and at times fatal terrain. Two fatal crashes were reported Saturday in the Upstate. The 1st fatal collision happened in Spartanburg when a motorcycle collided with another vehicle on East Main Street.
The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office identified the deceased motorcyclist as 37 year old Matthew Hebert of Spartanburg. The crash remains under investigation by the Spartanburg Police Department.
The second fatal wreck happened around 1130 PM Saturday on Highway 29 in Greenville County. The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that a 17 year old driver hit a pedestrian while traveling with three passengers in a Pontiac Coupe. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Greenville County Coroner's Office identified him as 44 year old Terry Lee Glenn of Greenville. The driver and passengers in the Pontiac were not injured in the collision. That crash is still under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
