A pair of suspects are in custody after first barricading themselves to avoid arrest. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded Thursday morning after a report that two people had broken into a vacant house on West Darby Road in Greenville.
When deputies arrived the suspects 65 year old, Weldon Eugene Holtzclaw and 20 year old, Alyssa Renee Thompson barricaded themselves in a vehicle trying to avoid being apprehended.
Holtzclaw had warrants for petit larceny and harassment. He was was charged with 3rd degree burglary, resisting arrest and malicious damage from yesterday's incident. Thompson is charged with 3rd degree burglary and resisting arrest.
