Two Western North Carolina men are behind bars in connection to a child pornography investigation. The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office says Jacob Hanalei Boyd and James Ed Ligon Jr. have been charged with child sex crimes.
The Sheriff's Office launched an investigation after being tipped off by the National Center For Missing And Exploited Children. A search warrant was executed last month and discovered nearly a 1,000 images of child sex abuse.
Boyd faces 10 counts of 3rd degree sexual exploitation of a minor and Ligon faces five counts of the same crime.
