A laundry list of charges against a Union man following a weekend shooting at an occupied vehicle near the University of South Carolina Union campus.
The Union Public Safety Department announced the arrest of Nicholas Hunter Woods following a Friday shooting at the intersection of West Main Street and North Herndon Street.
Officers arrived on scene and found Wood pacing in the middle of the road, where he refused to follow commands and was tazed.
Woods was found in possession of two fentanyl pills and just over 10 grams of methamphetamine at the time of his arrest.
In total, Woods faces 16 charges, including:
• Attempted Murder (5 Counts)
• Violation of City Ordinance
• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Violent Felon
• Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime
• Trafficking Cocaine, Second Offense
• Unlawful Carrying of a Handgun
• Arrest with a Deadly Weapon, First offense
• Drug Possession of More than 2 Grams
• Purchase of Controlled Substance within Proximity of a School
• Possession of a Controlled Substance
• Commission of a Violent Crime While on Bond
• Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of PWID Manufacturing, Distributing or Trafficking
He was already out on bond for previous charges at the time of the incident.
