Governor Henry McMaster offered an update for the ongoing Workforce Scholarships for the Future program, which provides scholarships for manufacturing, healthcare, information technology, education, or logistics students at any of the state’s 16 technical colleges.
The scholarship program, formally created in late 2021 after the success of the $12 million Governors Emergency Education Relief Funds, has since dedicated $44.3 million to provide high-demand industry career training to 32,426 South Carolinians.
Governor McMaster in a press release said, “As South Carolina continues to attract major investments and tens of thousands of new jobs, developing our workforce is more important than ever.”
