An Upstate businessman has thrown his hat into the ring and will change for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Lindsey Graham. Mark Lynch, owner of Jeff Lynch Appliances was a guest on the Charlie James Show yesterday Tuesday evening.

Lynch explained why he had decided to run. He said "The people of South Carolina like you've been talking on your show are tired of Lindsey". It's interesting that Senator Tim Scott and Governor McMaster are supporting him, what does that say about them"?

Lynch then went on to refer back to when President Trump visited Pickens in 2023 and the reaction that Lindsey Graham got that day, when he was introduced.

Lynch said " I hope President Trump understands what's going on this time? An endorsement for Lindsey doesn't mean anything for us here in South Carolina. When Trump came to Pickens, the booing (in response to Graham being introduced) that went on for several minutes went viral".

Lynch is not a complete stranger to politics, he ran for the State Senate District 12 seat in 2020 and was narrowly defeated by Scott Talley in the Republican primary.
