An Upstate couple are charged with trafficking their own underaged daughter. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says an investigation was launched last month into James Wilson and April Lawrence.

Investigators say that the couple would find people to pay them in exchange for companionship from their 14 year old daughter. The Sheriff's Office says the couple took their daughter to the home of a 67 year old man in Greenville County. The Sheriff's Office has not identified the man as of the time, of this report.
Investigators say the girl did not want to go to the man's home but Wilson forced her to. The Sheriff's Office says the couple used the teen girl as currency and made well over a $1,000 dollars in a month's time of doing so.
The Sheriff's Office says another man named William Barendsen took the couple on their offer and is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Wilson and Lawrence are charged with human trafficking and are being held without bond in Anderson County.
