An Upstate jailer is facing criminal charges. SLED says, Laurens County Detention Officer Ashley Landreth provided an inmate with a contraband cell phone. Officials claim that the 36 year old Landreth also communicated with the inmate on that phone regularly.
Landreth is charged with misconduct in office and providing contraband. Ironically, she was booked into the same jail that she formerly guarded.
