Another Upstate hospital system is adjusting its visitation policy temporarily as flu activity ramps up statewide. As we previously reported the CDC listed the Palmetto State in the highest category for flu activity, earlier this month.

Prisma Health 1st announced changes to their visiting regulations Wednesday morning. Now, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare is encouraging people not visit any of their campuses unless it is "absolutely necessary".

The system has five hospital locations around the Upstate, two of them in Spartanburg, the others are Pelham, Union and Cherokee Medical centers. The hospital system is also requiring its staff to wear masks in all clinical areas of their hospitals.
