An Upstate man is facing charges after he reportedly led officers on a chase. The Pickens City Police Department says, the pursuit when a driver fled a traffic stop on Highway 178, Tuesday morning. Police report that 24 year old, Dennis of Browning of Liberty was identified as the driver.
He reportedly led officers on a chase that ended in a field in Liberty. Browning jumped out of the vehicle and tried running on foot, but was apprehended. Browning is charged with failure to stop, being a habitual traffic offender and other driving violations.
Browning allegedly hit three cars during the chase and the State Highway Patrol is investigating those crashes and additional charges could be forthcoming.
