One person is dead after a house fire in Oconee County, early Wednesday morning. Fire crews from Holly Springs Fire Department responded to a fire on Cobbs Bridge Road near Westminster, around 1AM. Officials say, over three dozen firefighters responded and worked together to get the blaze under control.
One person was found dead inside the home. The deceased has been identified as 61 year old, Kelle Renee McCracken. SLED is investigating the fatal fire and the cause of the fire remains undetermined, as of this time.
