An Upstate man is facing charges after a chase led to a deputy involved shooting. SLED says 45 year old, Brian Joseph Stoltie was arrested Monday on charges of attempted murder, failure to stop for blue lights and multiple weapons violations.
The charges stem from an incident in March of 2025. Stoltie was wanted in Greenville County and was seen driving in Anderson County. Deputies there then tried to pull him over, but Stoltie tried driving away. He crashed into a patrol car and a fence and began running on foot.
Arrest warrants say Stoltie fired at deputies and deputies returned fire and Stoltie was hit in the back. He has a history of violence after being involved in a deputy involved shooting in 2019.
