An Easley man is in custody as a wild scene unfolded in Oconee County, after he tried to steal a motorcycle. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened Tuesday evening, near Seneca.

Deputies responded and met with two Clemson City Police Officers. They reported that the suspect 34 year old, Russell James Brown had stolen a Harley Davidson. That came after Brown had met with the seller of the motorcycle.

The seller told Deputies that Brown has taken off on the motorcycle in an effort to steal it. The seller followed Brown until he wrecked the bike. A confrontation ensued between the two and the seller reportedly shot Brown in the foot.

Deputies later located Brown after he tried fleeing the scene. He was then taken into custody. Deputies say over 14 grams of meth were then found in Brown's clothes. He's charged with trafficking meth and grand larceny.

The Sheriff's Office says the seller will not face charges.
