An Anderson County man has pleaded guilty in connection to a multi-million dollar financial scheme.
The U.S. DOJ says 41 year old, Michael French of Pendelton entered guilty pleas in federal court to running a 13 million dollar Ponzi scheme and cyber stalking.
Court records Say French used investor money to fund his lavish lifestyle, after he promised returns of 12% annually on the investments. The DOJ says he also threatened content creators who exposed the scheme.
He even went to one woman's home and tried to force unlawful entry and was arrested by local police. French is set to be sentenced at a later date.
