
An Upstate man will spend three years behind bars for his involvement in the January 6th incident at the U.S. Capitol. Rob Jones has more on that story.36 year old, George Amos Tenney III of Anderson was sentenced Monday on charges of interfering with law enforcement, civil disorder and obstructing official proceedings.

Court documents from his June 30th guilty plea show, Tenney sent a message just a week prior the incident. It said " It looks like we may seige the Capitol Building and Congress, if the Electoral votes don't go right".
Prosecutors say, Tenney entered the Capitol building and opened the doors to allow the crowd outside to come in. He was also said to have been involved in a physical confrontation with an Assistant to the House's Sergeant At Arms.
Tenney is sentenced to three years in federal, he's one of over 275 people charged in the January 6th incident.
