
An Upstate man has been sentenced to nearly 5 years on a federal weapons charge. The U.S. Attorney's Office says, 27 year old Rashad Jamal Mack of Spartanburg entered guilty pleas on federal charges of Felon In Possession Of A Handgun and Ammo.

The charges stem from an incident in late March in which Spartanburg County Deputies say Mack tossed a gun before running from them. He was later apprehended and a loaded pistol was found. Mack has been sentenced to 57 months and there's no parole in the Federal Prison System. "
