An Upstate married couple have been sentenced to over a combined 5 decades for sex crimes against children. The U.S. Attorney's Office says that 54 year old Gary Garland and his wife Shannon Garland have been convicted for leading a child sex trafficking ring and producing child pornography.
Court documents say the Garland's forced two children to take drugs and engage in hundreds of sexual acts, many of them videotaped. Gary Garland was sentenced to 35 years and Shannon to 26 and a half years.
Six other people were convicted as part of the sex trafficking ring as well. 58 year old Johnny Wells was sentenced to 13 and a half years. 41 year old, Kiana Dailey got a sentence of 5 years. 4 others were given sentences ranging from 18 monts to prison to probation and house arrest.
