A Pickens Pastor, along with 8 other men, have been charged with prostitution, first offense.
According to an October 2023 warrant, William Martell Kannarney, most recently Senior Pastor at Blue Ridge View Baptist Church, either engaged in or aided and abetted prostitution.
The incidents are believed to have happened between June and October of last year. The charges are connected to an online prostitution sting operation led by the Seneca Police Department.
On Tuesday, Kannarney was arrested and released from the Oconee County Detention Center on a recognizance bond. Eight other men were arrested and charged.
