The U.S. Army has announced the death of a soldier from the Upstate. The Army Public Affairs Division says 24 year old, Adrian Matthew Turner was killed during basic training at Fort Moore in Georgia, March 22nd.
Turner was a native of Duncan who enlisted and went to boot camp in late January. The Army did not provide any further details regarding Turner's death, as of the time of this report.
Turner's family is holding a visitation for him Tuesday night from 6-8 PM at Stribling Funeral Home in Duncan. His funeral service will also be held there Wednesday at 1PM.
