Public funding is missing after an Upstate town was the victim of a cyber attack. Officials in Westminster say the town was targeted in a cyber attack last week, which compromised its IT systems.

The Westminster Police Department contacted both SLED and the FBI to investigate the attack. Officials say they don't believe any utility customer date or payment information was compromised.

However, officials have confirmed that the incident resulted in the loss of public funding, but they have not disclosed the amount as of this time.
