An Upstate woman is dead after falling down a cliff on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Western North Carolina, over the weekend.
The National Park Service responded to a report of a fall at the Glassmine Falls Overlook around 12:15 Sunday afternoon. Rescue crews arrived and found the woman's body nearly 150 feet below the overlook.
Officials have identified the deceased as, 61 year old Nancy Sampson of Greer. The incident remains under investigation by the National Park Service.
