USDOJ: Quartet sentenced for racially-motivated armed robberies

Three men and a woman have all been sentenced to federal prison for violent crimes that targeted Hispanics in the Midlands.

The U.S. Department of Justice says Charles Antonio Clippard, Michael Joseph Knox, Gabriel Brunson and Sierra Fletcher all pleaded guilty charges connection to a string of armed robberies that targeted Hispanic victims in the Columbia area.


Clippard received the harshest sentence at 35 years. Knox is set to do 25, Fletcher will serve just over 16 years and Brunson had been sentenced to a little more than 8 years.

There's no parole or early release in the federal system.
