A one vehicle crash on Valentine's Day has now turned fatal. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the crash happened on Highway 11 near Forest Drive about 8 miles north of Travelers Rest.
Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway reports that the driver of a Honda SUV was traveling north on Highway 11 when he crossed the centerline, ran off the road and hit an embankment causing the vehicle to overturn.
The driver was taken to Greenville Memorial where he died Thursday morning, from injuries suffered in the crash. The Greenville County Coroner's Office has identified the man as 68 year old Johnny Ray Cruthirds of Greer.
