An investigation is ongoing after a drive-by shooting in Spartanburg over the weekend. The Spartanburg Police Department responded to the area of Home Street around 9PM, Friday.
Police arrived and spoke with witnesses who reported hearing 8 or 9 gunshots. However, investigators say witnesses were unable to to give a detailed description of the vehicle involved.
Officers found several bullet holes in an SUV that was parked on the street. Police say a witness was sleeping in the vehicle when the shots rang out. Several shell casings were found along the roadway.
There was also a bullet hole found through the window of a nearby home and damage was found inside. No injuries were reported and no arrests have been announced. The incident remains under investigation.
