One of the baseball teams that was set to visit the Upstate this week to compete in the Senior League World Series, has been denied entry into the country.
Friday marks the start of the World Series Tournament in Easley. The event consists of 12 teams, six from the U.S. and the other six from all over the world.
The Venezuelan team who qualified by winning the Latin America Region, can not get visas to be able to play in the event. The team was deemed ineglible for visas due to a Presidential order last month that limits entry to the U.S. from certain regions of the world.
A team from Mexico who Venezuela beat in the Latin America Title Game will replace the Venezuelan team in the tournament.
