The victim of a deadly shooting in the Upstate Monday has now been identified.
As we previously reported, the Anderson County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting on Checkerberry Lane in Pendelton, around 4:30 yesterday afternoon.
Upon arrival, deputies found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead just after 4:45PM. The Anderson County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 41 year old, Jerrico Roshean Fruster. His death has been ruled a homicide.
The Sheriff's Office says a person of interest has been detained, but no further details have been released, at this time.
