One Upstate County led the entire state in voter turn out for the Republican Presidential Primary, over the weekend. Greenville County officials say nearly 95,000 people voted in the Presidential Primary, Saturday.
Horry County was 2nd with almost 72,000 votes casted. Half of the state's 46 counties saw a turnout of over 20%. Oconee, Pickens and McCormick Counties all were over 30% in voter turnout.
The statewide turnout was at 23% with over 750,000 total ballots cast. Only 5 counties had less than 20% turnout, they were all in the Pee Dee region of the state.
Donald Trump won the Primary in convincing fashion getting nearly 60% of the vote. Former Governor Nikki Haley garnered just under 40% of the vote.
