A North Carolina man accused of killing his grandmother is now in custody. The Craven County Sheriff's Office says 24 year old, Dominic Connelly was found Friday morning in an abandoned house near Vanceboro in Eastern North Carolina.
Sheriff Chip Hughes said Connelly looked to be extremely dehydrated and cold like he had been living in the elements for some time. Connelly was wanted after he allegedly stabbed his 72 year old grandmother and lit her on fire resulting in her death in late October.
He also is accused of stabbing a deputy who was trying to apprehend him days later. Connelly is charged with murder, arson, attempted murder and assault.
