An Oconee County man wanted for drug trafficking is now behind bars. The Sheriff's Office there says 36 year old, James Henry Nix was wanted after an incident near Seneca, last month.
A deputy reported seeing a man later identified as Nix and a woman near a broken down motorcycle on the side of West Oak Highway near Bruce Road, the evening of April 24th. When the deputy turned around to assist with the break down, she says Nix ran on foot, but the woman stayed at the scene.
A bag was later found in the bushes that Nix had ran through. A search of the bag uncovered over half a pound of meth and some identification. The Sheriff's Office says Nix was arrested in Walhalla, Tuesday afternoon.
The woman with him has not been charged and was released from the scene. Nix is charged with trafficking meth.
