The crash of single engine Beechcraft C23 plane Sunday morning in Spartanburg County has now claimed a life. The plane crashed on Highway 101 near Sharon Church Road around 10:30AM Sunday morning and came to rest in a near by field.
Two occupants had to be removed from the wreckage with one of them airlifted to a hospital. The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office has reported that one of the two involved in the plane crash, 60-year-old Dan William Witt of Lancaster, SC died of his injuries Monday night.
The FAA is still investigating that crash.
