A man with addresses both in the Upstate and the Midlands is facing charges of domestic violence and kidnapping in Oconee County. Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a requested welfare check on Jacobs road in Seneca, just before 5PM Saturday. The welfare check was requested by a third party.
When deputies arrived they found 25 year old Tevon Demarcio Durham who has listed address in Seneca and Columbia. Investigators determined that Durham would not allow the woman at the residence to leave. He also reportedly grabbed her multiple times and took her cell phone, so she couldn't call for help.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office says the incident remains under investigation.
