Newstalk 98.9 WORD kicked off the Republican Governor Series Thursday with State Attorney General Alan Wilson. He's running to become South Carolina's next Governor, and sat down with Charlie James and Joey Hudson to speak on why he feels he's the best choice to lead the Palmetto State.
Wilson said "Whoever is going to be running the State, you want someone who is going to be calm, cool and collected. I think I have demonstrated that over and over again as Attorney General and in my military career, and I will demonstrate it as Governor"
The Republican Governor Series will run throughout the month of May, featuring an in-depth one hour interview with each of the candidates.
Next up, in the series will be Congressman Ralph Norman , Monday May 11th. The interview will run during the 4pm hour of the Charlie James show and will be available on-air, online and on WORD's social media platforms.
