
A Western North Carolina man is in custody after police say he deliberately set fire to an Asheville business. Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at a business on Southside Avenue in downtown Asheville, around 2AM Tuesday morning.
Fire crews forced entry and put out multiple fires inside the building. No injuries were reported in the fire, officials say that contents inside the building suffered most of the damage, as opposed to the structure of the building.
Officers from the Asheville Police Department located and arrested 42 year old, Allen Lee Honeycutt. He's charged with arson and breaking an entering. Investigators say, Honeycutt admitted to the crimes. He's being held in Buncombe County on a $25,000 bond.
