A suspect is in custody after being accused of shooting into vehicles and a deputy, in Western North Carolina.
As we previously reported, the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office responded March 27th to a report of a suspect firing at vehicles on Hollis Road in Ellenboro.
Deputies arrived and ordered the suspect 53 year old, Shane Eugene Wall to drop his weapon. Wall refused and began shooting at deputies, they returned fire and struck the suspect.
Wall was injured and was transported to the hospital. Wall is charged with assault with a deadly weapon, shooting at an officer, shooting into a vehicle and other charges.
